If you didn’t have time to keep up with #LaurusCollege in social media this week, here are some highlights for you as we head into the weekend:

Chris Koehler, 3D Animation Department Chair at Laurus College, shared a few student portfolios from his Animation 230 class “Computer Video Compositing & Camera Matching”.  Each of these students created a YouTube channel and then posted their work for the world to see.  Please visit the Student Portfolios section on the Laurus College website to take a look at these students’ hard work.

This week’s Career Services Workshop focused on the job search website, CareerShift.  This website includes listings from both public and private job boards, and was built exclusively for Laurus College students and graduates.  To learn more about CareerShift visit the Career Services home page and watch the recorded workshop here.

We’ve all heard the saying “it’s the little things that make a difference”.  This week, Marketing Director Leo Craven took a little deeper look at this often times overlooked phrase, and gives some insight into how doing the “little things” can give us “big” advantages.

The Central Coast is getting their own version of Comic Con September 6-8 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds!  Visit the official “C4” page and make plans to attend this exciting event!

It wouldn’t be Friday without the latest and greatest HOT JOBS list for the week ending August 16th.  Make sure to visit the Laurus College Career Toolbox – your dream job could be waiting for you right now!
